Doug Jeffries has a careers worth of fly fishing experiences from around the world and generously shares them in this gallery with BAA. He is an avid salt and fresh water fly fisher that has probably forgotten more fishing spots than the typical befuddled angler will fish in a life time.

Doug has fished some exotic places and is a fine example of what keeping your eye on the ball and working with purpose to accumulate fishing experiences will put you – smack dab in the face of beauty and incredible quarry. Visualize, Plan, Go is the only motto that will get you there and he is proof.

“It takes a certain degree of ‘jump off the cliff commitedness’ to go to some of the places I’ve been.  But there are others way more out there than I. I think the other aspect that helped me fish those places was I was willing to put up with the hardships of toting extra gear on business trips, taking extra time at a destination, and relying on the generosity of others.  Maybe not so surprising was that most work related people seemed to take it in stride and in fact sort of envied me.  Not that they couldn’t have done the same, they just didn’t want the hassle.”

We have been lucky enough to share water with Doug. He has personally witnessed firsthand our true befuddlement and extreme fear of the bolts of Thor. Despite that he seems to be willing to fish with us again and for that we feel lucky.
